REINSTALL iTUNES
Experiencing issues with iTunes? If basic trouble shooting doesn't solve your problem, it is probably worth trying to simply reinstall the program. To reinstall iTunes start by going to -start > -control panel > -add/remove programs.
Once this window is open you want to find iTunes and Quicktime. Right click each and select -uninstall. You want to uninstall Quicktime because iTunes come standard with this, and reinstalling iTunes will also reinstall Quicktime. Once you have uninstalled both programs, restart your computer.
Once your computer is up and running after a restart, visit (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/) and click on the download link, fell free to uncheck the boxes offering -special email offers, etc. After you click it, a small window will ask for your confirmation and where to download it.
Depending on your browser settings, the downloaded file itunessetup.exe can usually be found in your download folder. You also have the option of executing the program right after it downloads via your browsers download window.
Once located, double click the itunessetup.exe file and follow the prompts. It is usually a simple process after this, click -next- on each new setup window and wait for the bar to load. Once you agree to the terms iTunes and Quicktime will be reinstalled on your system.

USE THE iTUNES REPAIR TOOL TO REINSTALL iTUNES
To repair iTunes is native to Mac computers, as it is an Apple product. The software is capable of running on Windows based systems, such as Vista and 7, but occasionally you may run into problems when importing certain audio files. When you receive a permission error tool upon attempting to import a file, you need to correct and reinstall the issue. This is done with the iTunes Repair and reinstall Tool. This is a free program used on Windows based computers to correct the import issues. The entire download and run process only takes a few moments, giving you more time to import all the necessary files you need.
The iTunes Repair Tool is available at Download.com. Once there, check off - Windows Software - on the left side of the screen, then type in - repair itunes -. Press - Enter - and the available download link appears on the screen. Allow it to download (which should only take a moment or two), then launch the program. Once the program has launched it is able to perform a diagnosis upon the Windows system and what is preventing the import of certain files.
After completion the software corrects the issue, or notifies you with what exactly the problem is and what you need to do to correct it and maybe you have to reinstall itunes (this may vary slightly, depending on where the error originates). Once you have performed the necessary task, close out iTunes, then load it back up again. After restarting the program, attempting to import the files back into the software, and this time you don't receive an error message.
